Wonderfully Evil (Code Geas)

Some shows follow the typical storyline of some good guy trying to change the world. In the end they find out some lesson and change the world for the better. Yay....and... yawn...

Well...That is often an overused plot that I can't seem to stomach all the time. One doesn't even have to look more than five minutes to find a story like that in the Anime or Fantasy section. That's why when I saw Code Geass I was happy.

Code Geass started out slow with a plot that could make anyone roll their eyes or yawn out of boredom. From the very start, I thought that I was in for another nobles=corrupt people and the oppressed=good. Well I was wrong. The main character Lelouch and the anime seem way more than meets the eye.

Code Geass is a tale of betrayal, lies, and Gundam like mechs, and a complete love of Pizza Hut!

The Rulers of Brintania have won the war with the Elevens (formally known as the Japanese) and forced to live under their control. What separates this anime from millions of rebellion type anime is the power of Geass. Geass is a power, once given to someone, can give them one specific power as long as someone looks into their eyes. Yes...Geass has limits! Lelouch's power is to be able to make anyone do as he pleases. Suicide, murder, writing on the wall, telling the truth...anything.

Anyone who sees this show, might start thinking of Death Note. Lelouch tests his power just like Light tests his Death Note. The two protagonists share some similarities as one person might think of the main character as good while another person may think the complete opposite. So far I haven't seen any pro Lelouch (or "Zero") or Suzaku shirts yet. Lelouch has the option of using his power to either save the Elevens or do as he pleases. Oh believe me, he does both! And that's what I love about this show!

As you get further into the series, you see that other characters have their own motives for what they do and the story has so many twists and turns that you may not know where the show is going.

If you like Death Note crossed with Gundam, drama moving a plot line, and Pizza Hut putting their logo all over the place, then you'll like this show.

Grass is Greener on the Other Side (Trading Spouses)

There is no way in hell that I would try to trade my future spouse for another spouse. My grass is already as green as it can get. However, some people think differently and may just want to experience what it's like to have another spouse out of curiousity.

That's when Trading Spouses comes in. A show detecticaded to ending the curiousity of others by actually putting them with another spouse and family. From what I've seen so far, the exact opposite of the type of family someone is used to. For example: the Christain wife who got traded with a Hippie wife and a Vegan wife getting traded with a meat eating family. Sounds like a nightmare to me right?

Well it can be a nightmare to anybody if the wives didn't get a good amount of money in the end. That's right. Stay with a family that's the exact opposite of your origional family and get paid for it! The nightmare of it all is what the spouses make of it. The Christain wife learned that there are good in even the worst of situations and to calm down to a reasonable level when her views might be challenged.

As usual with most reality shows, I think the drama that can happen is all a part of the entertainment. But since no one is trying hard to win a date or kick someone off the show and not saying "I'm not here to make friends", I find the whole show refreshing.

It's quite sad that I didn't wacth this show when it started. Maybe I would have had something to wacth when there was nothing on.

You're Own Personal Movie Place (Youtube)

Youtube is the place to be for internet junkies like me. Self-help blogs, video game playing, anything. My boredom instantly dies when watching this website.

Charlesissocoollike, Teens-wit, Protojonusa, and Jaceyfromkorea: the videos I can find from thousands of people are endless. That's what I like about the website! If anyone hasn't heard of Youtube then they must have been dead before 2005.

That's how popular this website is. If one wants to reach some kind of fame or audience then they can find that here. Youtube is open to all kinds of people and countries around the world.

What I don't like about this website might not matter in a few months. The owners of Youtube are deciding to expand the time of videos that people create. That way Youtube users won't have to adopt editing to shorten a video or split it a part if they want others to be able to see it. The current bug that they are having with the subscriptions might just get fixed soon thanks to Simpfilms and other people's comments. Videos can be watched in higher quality now so videos in horrible quality are no longer a problem.

Youtube is a place that's shaping up enough for everyone to enjoy it!

It Takes Time (Textbookwheel.com)

It's nice signing up to a website, getting a free shipping code, and advertising the website everywhere. Some times you might think there's no point. I mean one dollar and ninety five cents isn't enough to wow everyone. For those in college, it's enough to get someone a candy bar.

That's what I thought when I got my first paycheck. I thought "whatever" and simply cashed the check for the fun of it and kept advertising the website. However I thought differently when I got another check saying that I got twenty dollars. That's a major difference! Why not try some more? For my last check so far I got twenty six dollars and thirty three cents! What fun!

Textbookwheel.com is a place where college students can sell their textbooks for money. Just put in the free shipping code 580955 and you can get free shipping just like that. Sign up and put the free shipping code 580955 and you can do the same thing that I'm doing. Letting people sell textbooks and get money.

Just make sure that the item you are trying to get rid of DOES NOT LOOK LIKE CRAP! That's why it's a good idea to take care of your belongings! As long as the there are no stains or missing pages then you can sell it. You can also get rid of comics, manga, and fictional books as well as graphic calculators.

It does take time to get some money so please have some patience!

Wrist Tiring Fun (Guilty Gear XX Accent Core)

Ah...I come home and sit down after a boring morning full of routines and classwork. My eyes barely open, wishing for a long nap to let the day go by in order to speed up the same zombie routine over and over again. Sleeping can take away a lot from somebody's day, especially if their energy can be spent doing something else.

Video games. A great way to invite people over and beat the crap out of each other while talking about how the day went. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is a great example of this. Full of rocking roll music, wacky yet cool characters, and different move sets, I find myself having a blast beating the crap out of other people and computers. Even characters who I hate I even find fun in playing as them. What fighting game could ever do that?

There are endless amounts of ways to play as a character. One way or another, someone out there will find a way to play as a character. That's what people call strategy and the cast of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core are full of strategy. Figuring out how you might draw a person in through mind games is a lot more fun then trying to beat the crap out of them. Why not mess with their minds a little? Look like you might do one thing but do the other.

There is a lot of variety in the music. Even if someone hates rock 'n roll, they might find themselves rocking to the creative sounds of some of the character's themes. I don't know how someone can manage to fit both rock n roll and classic music together in A.B.A.'s theme but they sure did.

Anyone into Street Fighter may want to look at this game as Street Fighter isn't the ONLY 2-D game out there. There are a lot of things that I love in this game more than Street Fighter. Each character is origonal. I-No is a rock n' Roll witch who uses her guitar to fight. Bridget is a boy dressed as a nun who uses a yo-yo and a teddy bear full of razors to fight! There are a numerous amount of combos that a person can use depending on how they use a character. Like a person can manage a three hit combo with Ky while another person can manage an eleven hit combo with the same character! Plus the best thing is you can hit people on the ground and not have to wait for them to take their presious time getting up! That's always a bonus for me. Use the over drive moves in an combo and we got a good game here! Get tired of someone and just use an instant death move on them. But have that move fail and your ability to do an over drive move disappears for that round! So be careful.

Of course with all 2-D cames, Guilty Gear can take a toll on one's wrist and fingers. I suggest taking your time with the direction pad before hitting one of the action buttons to perform a special move. At least that's what I'm doing...now. Ouch!

The Act of Forgiveness (Church)

Everyone has something that they hold against one or another group of people. The grudge can be for a day, a year, or even decades. Over milk, candy, a car crash, or a broken item, practically anything can cause bitter feelings between two or more people. Bigger things such as bullying, rape, and murder can cause the greatest grudges of all depending on the person.

Holding a grudge is an evil. An evil that likes to seep slowly into the soul and blacken it. A darkened soul refuses to think of anything else that might get itself into the light...even for a few seconds. The owner of this soul banishes loved ones, shouts at potential friends, and alienates itself except for that one moment to condemn those that got him or her into the darkened state the whole time.

This soul doesn't realize how dark it has become in the process of seeking revenge. Even when it finally reaches its objectives its left with nothing. The people that soul held a grudge against are enjoying their lives out in the sun and are oblivious to whatever feeling someone else from far away is giving to them.

Sometimes it is best to forgive.

That's what I learned about church today. Church is a place where the Lord can reach you under though times. Today was one of thsoe days. It takes a lot of effort to hate than it does to be happy. Saying sorry is actually a strength that a lot of people consider to be a weakness. I guess the people who believe that love to be in the world of grudges forever. No one is responsible for how someone reacts to being forgvin. It is the person who wants to forgive that is more important in my book. That takes a lot of courage to pull off these days.

Living in a world of malice is just not a healthy thing to do. If I spend time living in the world of malice then I would be casting out friends and loved ones. These days that is something that a lot of people can not live without.

Church is also a place where sins can be forgiven and happiness can be obtained. I don't know why but I feel lifted somehow. It makes me wonder why I put off going to church for a month before I decided to go back again. Hmm...

Just a thought. God loves you.

Trying to Get Some Money (Replays)

I've been out of a job for a while now. Each time I get a job, I normally stay there for three months minimum. It's either that I quit or I get laid off. I've stopped trying to quit my jobs these days. The job that I end up going to often stops having hours all of a sudden and I'm left looking for a new job.

It sucks but I guess that's how the economy is these days. I'm not that into what's going on these days so politics won't be getting that much light in my blogs. I am curious how things will turn out with whoever we elect. It's time for a new future. But during the wait for the new possibilities, I say that I should stay in the moment.

The current moment is trying to find a job or should I say get some money. Right now I'm going to be hitting three stores today to see if I can get hired at any of them. As usual I hope that such a goal is possible. I'm also going for getting money... legally. As I've said before, not having money does not do good to my mood at all.

Without money, I have to borrow from people, owe people back money that I have no current way of giving back, and or have to listen to nagging parents constantly asking why I don't have a job. I know that they are worried about me and all but it's really annoying.

My current way of getting money is trying to sell some of my stuff. I have lots of manga and dvds that are just sitting around in one of my drawers. I normally don't like the idea of selling something that I'm going to miss in the future but none of these dvds or manga get worn out like my other stuff from constant reading and looking at.

Yesterday I went to a store called Replays. It was a nice store, lots of manga and dvds on display. I thought that I could sell a lot of stuff there but I guess not. I managed to sell my Mulan dvd and Uzumaki dvd and got 12 bucks because of that. That's cool I guess. The Mulan dvd got me a high price of 8 dollars. I figure that's the highest a dvd can go for. The Uzumaki dvd went for four dollars.

The manga I had could not be sold because there was too much manga on the shelves. If there is no room for something then Replays will not take more of it. That's understandable. I might have to wait until the Christmas season or just a few weeks before I am able to sell stuff there again. I guess that's why my boyfriend gave me a Replays' card.

I think it's a great idea to be able to sell stuff as long as nobody is cheated in the process. I hear that some people often sell stolen goods at that store so one has to be careful when buying stuff there. I guess that means just selling stuff there for me unless they happen to have a rare game like Final Fantasy VII.

It's a good idea to note that just because something is in the store doesn't mean that it's on sell. So really don't try to go for the Knuckle's doll there. I've already tried and so has my boyfriend. Well unless one can give a good offer of course. I should plan on doing that someday. It wouldn't hurt to try at least. I mean he won't sell it to me if I was going to sell it. I certainly will not. I have had a Sonic doll ever since I was in the first grade and I'm currently in college right now. That's a LONG time. I'll be sure to use that evidence some day.

My boyfriend also told me that there was a Marth figurine that I missed a while ago. I feel really disappointed right now. Maybe I can find one at an anime convention or online somewhere. Maybe they might have that figurine again someday.

Time can only tell what I'll be doing there in the near future.

An Introduction of Sorts

Thought that I would like to introduce myself.

No matter how much I wouldn't like to admit it. I'm a shy girl who appears aloof half the time in public. I might appear mean or withdrawn to a lot of people. If you took the time to meet me, you might just find a good friend. Well at least that's what I'm hoping. Everyone has dreams really.

My main interests are art, video games, and writing. That might be what I talk about most in these blogs.

I go to college right now for Game and Simulation and hope to make some good video games and earn enough money to the point where I'm no longer concerned about being poor. Most people say that money doesn't matter but I guess I'm just greedy and materialistic. My room is full of a bunch of "junk". Mostly books and anime stuff. There's not that much room but as long as I can get around stuff, sleep, and breath, then I'm happy.

My art and my writing go together. Horror and Fantasy combined are my favorite topics. I guess that's what people call Dark Fantasy. The fantasy of today is some what sicking to my tastes. What happened to the darkness that came with most fairy tales these days? They taught people lessons. What lessons can be obtained from Disney movies? Prince Charmings are nearly extinct.

My main concerns in life is my social activities. I'm shy and constantly anxious. I feel inapt in some conversations and wonder why some people bother talking to me. Low self-esteem is a word that comes to mind here. I have lots of friends and even a boy friend yet these things come to my mind constantly. Yes they treat me right and accept even the weirdest things that I tend to do from time to time.

I also accept them and help them with anything they are willing to share with me. I'm not a therapist but I'll try. Putting people down for whatever problem they have is not something that I've been raised to do. Neither do I want to hang around people who put down others down because they are "different". I'd rather be around "different" people all day. I feel that the world goes into a whole new perspective rather than the same old stale perspective I've been seeing since my childhood days.

In other words, I normally feel like I don't fit in. To help me out, I'm reading a book by Matthew McKay, and Patrick Fanning called Self-Esteem Third Edition. Why not? I feel that this book can help me out somehow. Unfortunately I am also a procrastinator. I am also a fast reader. But knowing that I can finish a book in about or less than a week can make me put a book down for some time. Two, Three, months...it can happen.

I've had this book for two years now and I am just now READING it! I'll let you people know what I think in the future. My goal is to publish a blog at least four times a week so wish me luck!
