Comming to America (Fire Emblem Path of Radience)

You ever remember looking up information for Super Smash Bros Melee and seeing two characters named Marth and Roy and saying "who the hell are these people?". You stare at their information on Wikipedia and still can't remember where you have seen them from. Then you go to the trophy section in Melee when you finally get the game, look up their information, and are still like "who?". Everything makes since when you finally look at the game information and see a "Japan Only" right next to something called "Fire Emblem".

Well in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, you finally get your hands on the NINTH Fire Emblem game (most likely after cussing out the random guy in Japan who decided to be so stingy with the series until this one). This game came on to the Gamecube in 2005, using the popularity of Marth and Roy to their advantage, some guy in Japan thought it was about time that America gets it try at a Fire Emblem game without having to download it on the internet or through connections (some spiteful guy at an anime convention somewhere).

Before anyone says anything, Fire Emblem is a tatical rpg. Meaning a game of chest but an interesting game of chest. You get a number of people, a field to fight on, and some eniemies to beat down. Of course like any game of chest, your knights and horses and whatever (I don't play chest) are not as important as long as they are protecting the queen or king in this matter. If the king dies then the game is over but if one of your knights die then the game continues.

But do not go throwing whoever into battle for the hell of it! If one of your people die then they are gone for good! They might also disappear from your story too or either talk in the story and not show up on the field at all. You will need some characters in order to recruit more people to your side too. Fire Emblem makes thinking in rpg's important! There are all types of characters to put on the field and each one has an advantage and a disadvantage against other. For example swords will beat axes but axes will beat lances. People with bows and arrows can not attack up front but they can attack from a far. So please think of the archers! They have feelings too you know.

The story tries to break away from Fire Emblem tradition with a none lord character as the leader but they failed to get rid of the blue haired cliche so I am not sure what they were trying to accomplish. The main character Ike belongs to a group of mercenaries who are hired to take care of various bandits and problems through out the land. Ike is the typical humble hero who will help anyone good in hand. His yawn fest of a life changes when he finds a physically weak princess in the woods one day. She hires him and his group to help her out to bring her kingdom (well Queendom but people are never that accurate are they?) back to order.

You will get to travel a few lands and meet interesting people such as the laguz, a race of animals who are furries one moment and beasts that can kill the next moment. Treat them like archers in their human like forms who can not attack until they turn into beasts. They have feelings too...

Although the story gets better later on, there are a few plot holes left for an obvious sequel and some things just bug me (Dragon laguzes are considered rare and impossible to find until toward the end where they are just about everywhere. Yeah...).

Anyone who loves tactical planning may enjoy this game. For the people who just want to get in and beat the crap out of people instead of waiting their turn may really hate this game. It never hurts to try though!

Musical Apple (The I-Pod Touch)

Music can be the best thing in the world. Music can allow you to relax when work has gotten to you, to annoy the person right next you by blasting loud music (that they clearly don't like) into their ears, and just something to enjoy when you're bored. In order to enjoy these many joys, there has been radios, cd's, and mp3 players. Among all these devices, my favorite has been the Apple's i-pod touch.

A three gig and thin black device that has a lot of stuff for its size. The internet, notes, a store, email, and even stock information! I take this thing around with me everywhere. It's like my special little toy. I can even throw my wacth out the window because there is a time and a caleendar on this thing! What else can the I-Pod touch not do? Well...It can not solve whatever problem you may have with somebody else. But who cares about them?

What I do not like about this device is that like any laptop or anything with internet access, you must get the password for the network. It can get annoying at times trying to resize the screen. Some people's hands are big and may become frustrated with having to delicately touch the screen. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a stylus for the I-pod touch.

This little thing is only three gig so if you aren't using it for a planner or for internet access, you may become mad with its small size. Either way, its a great device for everybody!

Wii All Have Fun

Nintendo loves bringging people together. Freinds, family, lovers, and even enemies can sit down and have fun together. I believe that is why they brought out something like the Super Smash Bros series. Becuase what doesn't attract Ninetendo lovers like getting the chance to beat the crap out of other Nintendo characters?

Brawl...the third game in the series brings a lot for everyone to do. Social butterflies can have fun beating the crap out of their buddies and loners (or social outcasts) can have fun on single player mode. There are extras added to the game to make free for all more hectic. The new additions, the smash balls, are proof of how hectic a battle can get once some one sees one on the field. Call them finshing moves (depending on the character who gets the ball), cheating, and your savior on the field, the smash ball gives each character a special move that causes a lot of damage, or instant death to the many unlucky people on the field. Some can even help other characters so be careful how you use them!

The stages come in a variety of lands and Ninetdo backgrounds. Fire Emblem characters finally get their own place and Nintendo are nice enough to give non Nintendo characters like Snake and Sonic their own place as well. Everyone will have fun moving their eyes all across the screen to doge their opponent and the stages many changing phases as if each stage has emotional problems (tip: beware of any animal on ANY stage).

There is customazible content. No...nobody can make their own character outfits or anything like that. People can make their own stages! Although lacking, plenty out there can have fun designing their unfair stage of bombs and spikes golore for people to play in! Hate the peaceful and unfiting music of Smashville...well not a problem! You can go to the music editer and tune down the possiblity of any slow song showing up so no one falls asleep during a macth.

Guess what loners! This game has a storyline now! Thanks to the people at Sqaure Enix, loners can have fun going through an actual storyline of a game thought not to have a storyline other than some guy playing with dolls. I won't spoil anything but if no one wants to waste their time trying to get the hidden characters like they did in Melee, then they can get the characters through the storyline! YAY! That makes people who got Mewtwo the hard way, much happier. Also this story mode is two player so don't forget to invite the few friends you might have to play with you. Just hope that they don't suck.

But loners aren't stuck to just the story mode and the usual Classic mode that a lot of people are probably tired of by now. There's online play! So as long as you have someone on your friend list, you have someone to play with! YAY! There's something for everybody! Unless you're one of the unlucky people who don't have friends or know of anybody else with a Nintendo Wii.

The only problem is for people who are still whining about wave dashing and the changes made to specific characters. Yes, this game requires people to drag their lazy butts across the screen slower than they would have in Melee. Don't know what wave dashing is? Then don't worry about it (it might make you sad)! These people may also follow the "no items, Fox only, Final Destination" quote and make it a reality (or at least the no items and Final Destination part). Just do not play that way too much or else the game will become pretty dull. This game was designed for the kiddies despite its rated T for teens rating. Either way, there is still enough competition for everybody.

Do You Have a Soul? (IMA International Marketing Association)

That's right folks. Having a soul means having more than just being a live and being on Earth (or the moon and maybe Mars someday). Having a soul means having the ability to tell the truth, be honest, and treat people right.

Having a job means that you will get money. With money, you can buy whatever you want and support yourself. Money is obtained through a ton of ways: Burger King, Wal-Mart, and big CEO positions. As important as it is to not become a person who's eating off the street to survive, it is also important to keep your soul. With money and a soul, a person could actually become wealthy and not end up like Donald Trump or the owner of the Playboy mansion. Whatever that person did to get far, they can honestly look back on their life in a few years and be happy about themselves.

Now dishonesty and bad jobs like prostitution, stripping, drug dealing, and telemarketing are everywhere. Even worse, they are easy to get!

Anyone who's desperate for a job may find themselves in a company like IMA. That's International Marketing Association and NRS. And NRS stands for Nationwide Reader's Services. This company promises a lot of money and a proffessional environment. They make the soon to be hired pumped up with promises of free gifts and extra pay with each sale they make. All they have to do is repeat the same old lines over and over again on a piece of paper and they've won the customer. Sounds nice and easy huh?

WRONG!!!!

When you get into the job after being won over by a few managers then you see how wrong you totally are. Ahh...selling magazines. There's something that everybody needs to buy. You're told to read a paper that promises three magazines for the price of one, a diamond watch, and a bunch of other prizes that could be brought at a Wal-mart or some other store. If someone wanted a particular magazine then they would have gone to the website and subscribed themselves.

Calling others can be a good or bad thing depending on the day. Even though this job may teach you to have a thicker skin due to the countless rejection by customers, you may start developing anger issues due to the countless rejection by customers. If you don't make enough sells in a day then you are let go. Sometimes for the night but sometimes permanently. It's a highly competitive job and you really have to know how to sweat talk someone into buying magazines in order to climb higher in to the business.

Which brings everyone back to having a soul. Do you have the heart to lie to someone constantly? "There is no obligation to buy a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g in the sweepstakes" is a lie when a customer asks you if they have to buy anything in order to participate in the so called "Dream of a Lifetime Sweepstakes". I'm pretty sure buying one magazine for sixty months means that I'm paying for something. The only way to get ahead easily is to be lucky by calling an idiot which doesn't happen much by the way.

Professional? Not really. You can bring cell phones, wear you're usual clothes, and talk into people's ears when they are trying to talk to other customers. Just as long as none of these actions are done in front of the big boss. Sad huh?

There's other things wrong with this company but if one wants a deeper look into it then please look at these links:
